Unona is a brand with a history of existence for the third decade.
Yunona is the first wedding assortment factory in the Republic of Belarus, which started the production of wedding dresses in 1994 in the city of Minsk. In those years of the end of the 20th century, there were salons of Juno both in the capital and in every regional city of Belarus. Therefore, almost all the brides of that time got married in a UNONA dress. In the early 2000s, the company expanded and organized its production in Ukraine. A network of branded stores of the evening dress of the Juno brand has opened in Kyiv. After the total shortage that existed in the former USSR, the demand for elegant dresses was enormous. Therefore, the trendsetter was the Glamor style and Juno’s outfits – couture evening dresses with rich handmade embroidery by designer Inna Chernyak.
Juno is a family company. 10 years ago, the younger daughters of the founder of the business, Inessa Semchenkova, twin sisters Alina and Uliana (artists by basic education) became the leading designers of the UNONA Fashion House. In 2015, having completed a course at the world’s oldest university in design and fashion, the College of Art and Design in London (Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (GSM) founded their own brand Jade. Now the sisters are the creative directors of UNONA and create laconic collections in the minimalist style of a very recognizable author’s design with clean lines, perfect fit – light and comfortable.We are very happy if you appreciate and feel, by trying on and buying our products, that love for you and the world and passion for fashion with which we create them!
